Repotting Guide
Follow these steps on repotting day. Read all steps before starting.
Safety Warning
The Euphorbia Firestick has toxic milky sap that burns skin and eyes. Always wear gloves when handling. Keep away from pets and children.
Water the day before
Water all plants the day before so rootballs slide out easier.
Mix your soils
Mix soils in a bucket or tub - FoxFarm + perlite for tropicals, cactus mix + perlite for succulents.
▸70/30 FoxFarm/perlite → Fiddle Leafs, Goldfish Plant, Ficus Benjamina, Ficus Moclame, Kentia Palm, Neanthe Bella Palm
▸80/20 FoxFarm/perlite → Boston Fern
▸50–70/30–50 cactus/perlite → Firestick, String of Bananas
Prepare self-watering pots
Set up white self-watering pots - place wick, add soil to the bottom.

Remove from nursery pot
Tip each plant out of its nursery pot. Squeeze the sides gently to loosen.
Loosen the roots
Gently loosen and tease apart the roots. Break up any tightly bound sections.
Place in new pot
Place plant in new pot, fill around edges with soil, press lightly to settle.
Water everything in
Water thoroughly to settle the soil around the roots.
Fill reservoirs
For white self-watering pots: fill the reservoir after the initial top-watering.

Drain ceramic pots
For ceramic/terracotta: water from top until it runs into the saucer. Empty saucer after 30 min.

Place & don't move
Put each plant in its final spot. Don't move the Ficus Benjamina again after placing it.
